Cheap HID kits have such spotty quality control it's almost impossible to recommend a best. What works for one person may not work for someone else.And no matter what the seller claims, or the price attached to it, all aftermarket HID components that don't cater to OEM equipment are cheaply manufactured in China. There's only a small variety of HID kit ballasts out there, they just have different labels slapped on them for the individual seller.
I've seen the same TRS ballast being sold for 10 bucks on one ebay listing direct from China being sold as "Genuine Philips Ballasts!" for over $100 on another listing. Don't trust what you read about HID kits from the seller...they're all crap.
So if that's what you want, pick your poison...they're all virtually the same...

Hi, my name is Klimenty Freydin. I purchased the fx-r 3.0'' retro fit from your page. Nothing negative to say about your product. On the contrary, they are amazing. I do how ever have PLENTY of NEGATIVE comments about on particular retro fitter you are suggesting to your clients. Euro car accents.
ReplyDeletePlease read this carefully and put your self in my shoes. I got in touch with David from euro car accents on October 21st, 2014. We agreed on a set price also for me to drop off my projector kit and headlights. I traveled to his HOUSE, not a store front, his HOUSE. Which i am certain in order to be backed by a company as yourself, one needs to work out of a shop. That is problem number 1. He told me he was going to keep me informed through out the retrofit with comments, questions, pictures, etc.. He left me in the dark for days at a time. Until i was forced to put my foot down and email him in an aggressive manner. Only then did he respond. I traveled back down to his house to pick up my lights. We talked things out and we both misunderstood each other. We worked things out and he told me he would have it done some time through out the week. I did not attempt to contact him through out that week. Come Thursday, i asked how is it coming along and when should i be expecting him. His response, your headlights are complete. I will come to you tomorrow. How does after 8pm sound?. I accepted, and was awaiting his arrival. come 11pm on Friday, NO response. Ignoring my phone calls!?. Where did you find this kid?. I made an unexpected visit the next morning. His mother came out. Basically refusing to make the transaction with me. the price was 100. He also told me, they were COMPLETE. She gave me two options. Either i leave my number to her and she will contact me once he returns home from "work". Or she calls the police and tell them that i am trespassing. Which was absolute BULLSHIT. since A. i was not trespassing, matter of fact i didnt even step foot on her property. And B. That clown was not at work, seeing as how she came out less than 2min WITH HEADLIGHTS IN HAND. She says, and i QUOTE, " i got in touch with him and he says you can take them back, for the work he put in he is asking for 60$''. I looked at the so called "FINISHED RETROFIT". not only was i furious, but i had no words that could explain. His so called "PERFECTION". This whole headache started on 10.21.2014. Ended on 11.16.2014.
The pictures below are after i Took everything apart and basically had to get another retro fitter that lived in my community. I found out about him through a friend who saw me struggling with retro fit. I had to retrofit the projectors with out shrouds since he absolutely butchered them. Over cut them and also some kind of chemical or adhesive on the chrome. He mounted my projectors into the housing with F*CKING SILICONE!.. SILICONE!. I scrapped what i could of the tops and side of both of them. The mistakes with his cuts to the top of the reflector made it necessary to cut off the tops of the reflectors off. Now i am driving with no shrouds and half a reflector on both headlights. By all means, If you do not believe me under any circumstance, please do not hesitate to ask for more information. I will GLADLY email you EVERY SINGLE TEXT MESSAGE AND EMAIL, PHONE LOG AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION THAT I HAVE BETWEEN HIM AND I. Now what am i supposed to do?!. If this company has any value of their clients, And strive to maintain an excellent reputation among the customer, YOU WILL RESOLVE THIS PROFESSIONALLY. I will re send this email to as many employees of THE RETROFIT http://SOURCE.COM, blogs and forums. This KID does not deserve to be advertised by you.
